August is the time of one of the largest Jazz Festivals in Bulgaria in the mountain resort of Bansko. Seven days of music, guests from four continents. In less than a decade many people have started to associate the name of Bansko not only with skiing, "banski starets" and choral chants, but also with the freestyle jazz music. First edition of the theme festival took place in 1998. Throughout the years the concert program became more intense and diverse. But the main idea was preserved – free admission!
     Two stages make up the venues – the festivities start every day by noontime with theme barbecue in front of Royal Towers Hotel. Jam sessions continue till late in the night.
