Breakfast. Drive to Balchik – a small coastal town on the Black Sea. Visit to the Palace of Romanian Queen Mary - famous as the Quiet Nest. This complex has been constructed by orders of the excentric Romanian queen combining European, Balkan and Oriental motives. Free time at Balchik Botanical gardens – among the largest in Bulgaria they are famous for the second largest collection of cacti in Europe. Departure for Romania. Arrival in Bucharest in the evening. Check-in and optional dinner at the hotel. Overnight in Bucharest.
Breakfast. Guided sightseeing tour in the historic center of Bucharest: Palace of Romanian Parliament (House of People), Unirii Square, Romanian Patriarchy, Old Court, Stavropoleos Monastery, Lipscani Street, Calea Victoriei. Free time at leisure, or optional tour to the Ceausescu House and the museum of the Romanian village “Dimitrie Gusti” (tour duration – approx. 5 hours). Visit to the former residence of Romanian communist leader Nicolae Ceausescu – huge villa with 80 rooms, private residence of the family. From here we continue to the Museum of the Romanian village.
