1 DAY - Arrival in Sofia. Transfer to the hotel and accommodation. Guided sightseeing tour of the city center, including a visit to the Alexander Nevski Cathedral – one of the largest Eastern Orthodox cathedrals in Europe, as well as one of Sofia`s symbols and a primary tourist attraction; the Rotunda "St George", the Church "St. Sophia", built by Emperor Justinian in the 6th century, the National Theatre "Ivan Vazov", the former Royal Palace, housing the National Revival Art Gallery and the Ethnographic Museum, the President hall, etc. Free time in the city center and the main trade area around Vitosha Boulevard. Upon request, dinner with folklore program and dances at a traditional restaurant in Sofia. Overnight in Sofia.

2 DAY - Breakfast at the hotel. Free time in Sofia, or, optional: 1. Full day trip to Plovdiv. 8 a.m. - departure for Plovdiv. Sightseeing tour the Old Town, including a visit to The Roman Ancient Theatre in Plovdiv, which was build in the 2nd century AD under the rule of the Roman Emperor Trayan and is nowadays considered to be the largest surviving Roman construction in Bulgaria, visit to the Ethnographic Museum, the Roman Stadium, "St. Konstantin and Helena" Church, etc. Free time. Drive back to Sofia in the late afternoon. Duration of the tour 8 hours. Arrival in Sofia in the evening. 2. Half day tour "Vitosha Mountain from horseback". This tour starts at 2:00 p.m. with a transfer from "Alexander Nevski" cathedral to the Vitosha Mountain. Enjoy the beauty of nature from horseback. A nice riding trip in the cool of the mountain will leave you excited and invigorated. Riders of all levels (including first-time riders) are welcome. No special outfit is required. Helmets are provided. The horse riding base is situated at the foot of Vitosha Mountain and it is also a small zoo. Animal-lovers can enjoy the company of wild animals – deer, red deer, peacocks, guinea-fowl, pheasants, rare breeds of pigeons, a wild boar, etc. The duration of the tour is up to 4 hours (including horse-riding). This tour ends at "Alexander Nevski" Cathedral. Overnight in Sofia.

3 DAY - Breakfast at the hotel. A free day in Sofia for shopping and sightseeing or, optional: 1. Full day trip to Veliko Tarnovo and Arbanassi. Sightseeing tour of Veliko Tarnovo – visit to the historical Tsarevets Hill, which served as a primary fortress of the capital town during the Second Bulgarian Kingdom. Drive to the village of Arbanassi, famous for its well preserved 17 and 18 century churches and the typical Revival architecture of its houses. Visit to the Konstantsalieva Museum House. Drive back to Sofia. Other optional tour: 2. Half day tour for a visit of the Boyana church and National History Museum. Visit to the Boyana church (in the List of UNESCO), located at the foot of the Vitosha Mountain in the Sofia suburb of Boyana. Visit to the National History Museum. The most interesting from the collections are the Thracian and Old Bulgarian gold and silver treasures, rich collection of icons, church plates and cloths, numismatics, manuscript and early printed books, ethnographic exhibits. Tour duration – approx 3 hours. Overnight in Sofia.

4 DAY - Breakfast at the hotel. Free time. Free time or, optional tour (if the time before departure permits): half day tour “Vitosha Mountain on foot” - the tour starts with a transfer from "Alexander Nevski" Cathedral to Vitosha Mountain. Up to 3 hours hike, starting from the region of the Golden Bridges (1350 m) and ending at Aleko hut region (1830m). At the Golden Bridges, the famous stone rivers, typical for Vitosha Mountain, can be observed. The first part of the route passes trough the forest zone and the second part is above it where the view is more spectacular. Vitosha Mountain is an extinct volcano and the three highest mountain peaks are remnants from its crate. Tourists must be in good fitness condition and appropriate footwear is needed. The duration is up 3 to hours. This tour finishes at "Alexander Nevski" Cathedral. Transfer to the airport and departure.
